About Me
I’m Rebecca Heywood.
I’ve spent 13 years helping governments strengthen how they deliver services to people. I’ve done this work across sectors as a public servant inside New York City government and the MBTA, as Government Growth and Partnerships Lead at U.S. Digital Response, and now as an independent consultant and field-builder.
Civic Works Studio is the home for all of that work.
If we continue to work in the status quo, we will continue to get the status quo – great policies on paper that never quite achieve the impact we had hoped.
